Saturnia

Saturnia is about 80 kilometers from Castiglione della Pescaia, in the heart of the Maremma Grossetana. Thermal water of suggestive beauty, with its famous "Cascatelle", which are natural pools topped by a waterfall, in which water flows at a temperature of 37 ° C , where you can immerse yourself for free. There are also paid facilities such as thermal pools, offering all the typical services of wellness centers. The Terme di Saturnia are a magical and fairytale place, which has its roots in the myth. The myth narrates that Saturn one day was angry with the men, constantly at war with each other, took a thunderbolt and threw it on the ground, making gushing from the crater of a volcano sulphurous water and warm that all wrapped up and all quieted. From that welcoming womb the men were born wiser and happier. Theater of the legend was the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, Saturnia, where that water still gushes at 800 liters per second at a temperature of 37 ° C. The thermal water comes from an underground stratum that is 200 meters deep and flows continuously, for 3000 years, from the natural crater below the structure. The thermal pools of Saturnia, extend for 2800 square meters and are equipped with whirlpools, waterfalls and vascular paths with hot and cold water. The Terme di Saturnia facilities include treatments such as: a Roman bath with biosauna, turkish bath, tropical showers, 5 thermal pools and a cold water pool. Let's not forget that all the surroundings of the Spas are places rich in history and uncontaminated nature, half of interesting excursions.

Grosseto

Known for its elegant tourist destinations and breathtaking views, the province of Grosseto extends to the southern end of Tuscany, from the slopes of the Metalliferous Hills to the border with Lazio, through the multiform landscapes of the Maremma.
Its coast, between the Gulf of Follonica the mouth of the river Chiarone, presents landscapes of singular beauty dominated by pine forests and crystal clear waters; It is home to famous seaside resorts such as Marina di Grosseto, Principina a Mare, Castiglione della Pescaia, Punta Ala and Punta Talamone. Internationally renowned tourist ports are Porto Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole, the two pearls of the Argentario, the green promontory that extends in the sea, surrounded by a high and rocky coast and connected to the mainland by the long sandy beaches of Giannella and Feniglia, called "tomboli". Pristine landscapes and magnificent views characterize the Tuscan archipelago, with the islands of Giglio, Giannutri and the Ants of Grosseto, favorite places for diving thanks to their depths populated by a colorful flora.
The hinterland is also rich in suggestions: on the wild Metalliferous Hills, in the Monterondo Marittimo area there is the Biancane Nature Park: a characteristic area for the emission of white and warm vapors coming from the depths of the earth, creating extraordinary landscapes and surreal atmospheres. Another typical environment is the Maremma Grossetana with the wide plains of the Ombrone, Fiora and Albegna interspersed with hills. The Maremma is the land of the butteri, of the genuine products and of the rural traditions handed down for centuries, of the uncontaminated and wild nature. There are numerous protected areas including the Natural Park of Maremma and Uccellina Mountains, the Orbetello Lagoon Nature Reserve, an immense stretch of water that welcomes numerous species of birds in every season and Lake Burano, a magnificent brackish coastal lake and WWF Oasis. In the south-eastern part of the province there is the so-called "tuff area", characterized by the erosion phenomenon, where magnificent villages and the most important Etruscan necropolis of the whole area rise.
In addition to the natural beauty and variety of environments, the province of Grosseto holds a remarkable artistic heritage: small towns of art, small and fascinating centers of medieval and Renaissance imprint and archaeological sites that preserve Roman and Etruscan remains.
A rich gastronomic tradition and the exceptions

Destinazione alle Terme ottima.

Tour a Grosseto INUTILE veramente.

Struttura alberghiera ok.

Mangiare discreto in albergo.
