From the seventeenth century canals introduced on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites, to the early designs of the Dutch architect Berlage and the architectural movement of the Amsterdam School. In Amsterdam there has always been a long tradition of religious, political and philosophical tolerance. Tradition and innovation have always coexisted, just walking along the avenues or the canals to realize it. It also transpires its rich city past, established in the seventeenth century, when it was the main Nordic city for world trade, culminating with colonization and the establishment of the Dutch East India Company for the spice trade. It is one of the cities with the highest density of museums in the world, all of high historical and artistic value.
- Van Gogh Museum : Absolutely not to be missed is the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam which has a collection of works by the Dutch artist unique in the world. Temporary exhibitions of artists from the modern and contemporary scene are hosted at the Van Gogh Museum.

The house has then become a museum and there is a foundation to she is dedicated.
Utrecht
Like Amsterdam, Utrecht is also a city of canals, thanks to which it has a typically picturesque appearance. The city is home to the Catholic primate of the Netherlands and another bishop at the head of the church of the Old Catholics, who broke away from the church of Rome following the enunciation of the dogma of the Pope's infallibility, commissioned by Pius IX in 1870. Utrecht is a city rich in history. The foundation dates back to 47 AD when the Roman emperor Claudius ordered his general Corbulo to erect a defensive line along the river Reno to protect the northern border of the empire. One of the strongholds was built near one of the crossings of the river Reno and for this reason called Traiectum (which means passage / crossing). In the local language the name was transformed into Trecht, then Uut-Trecht (low passage) to eventually become Utrecht. In the place where the castle stood, now there is the Dom Church, built in the thirteenth century.
