Foof dog museum
Foof is the first dog museum in Italy, it wants to be the recognition and celebration of the relationship between the dog and the man, a complex relationship to which all its heterogeneity must be returned in order not to risk appearing obvious and banal. The daily life is full of many experiences in which the tenderness of a puppy passes through our eyes, the faculty that a dog has to give affection, the attitude to work that he is able to exhibit in the various tasks, the exaltation of his physical abilities . but it must not make us forget the other thousand facets, sometimes dramatic and exasperated, of the relationship between man and dog.
Pozzuoli
Flavian Amphitheater of Pozzuoli
The Flavian Amphitheater was commissioned by the Emperor Vespasiano and inside there were theatrical performances, musical concerts and the inevitable fight of gladiators. Some sources also tell of real naval battles, possible thanks to a mechanism that allowed to flood the lower part of the arena. During the Middle Ages the Flavian Amphitheater of Pozzuoli was buried by the volcanic debris that have preserved its undergrounds intact. During the visit you will see the systems of chains and pulleys used to bring from the basement to the arena the cages of the fairs against which gladiators fought
The Solfatara volcano in Pozzuoli
The Solfatara di Pozzuoli is one of the most particular active volcanoes in the world and its presence in the Phlegraean Fields is of vital importance for the whole area around Naples. The magma that simmers under the "Ardent Fields" finds its own outlet in this volcano, which keeps under control the pressure of the underground gas. The Solfatara does not have the classic aspect of the volcano: no sharp mountains with smoking mouths, but only a very hot expanse of land, inside which there are lakes of mud in boiling.
