Caserta and surroundings

From the point of view of culture and tourism, the idea that gained space in recent years is let you know a Caserta over the royal Palace, or a city that, in spite of what you might think, it has more than its extraordinary royal Palace, an enormous historical and cultural heritage to raise awareness. A heritage which includes the full title of the Belvedere of San Leucio (inserted by the Palace in the list of monuments Unesco world Heritage site), the Medieval Village of Casertavecchia, with its Dome of 1100, and the castle of the same period and then again a large number of Churches and other places of historic and cultural importance, that they only need to be included in the tourist circuits. Also under the aspect of a museum, Caserta is a city that is always rich. Suffice it to say that after the consolidated Museums of the Opera, Terre Motus, Silk, in the last few years have opened the Wax Museums, Contemporary Art and the Diocesan that have enriched the tourist offer of the city beyond the triangle of the historic royal Palace-Caserta-San Leucio. The district of Caserta is very rich in this sense, just think of the roman Amphitheater of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, only 6 km from Caserta to size second only to the Colosseum in Rome and the Museo Campano di Capua and the Basilica of Sant'angelo in Formis or the Palace of Carditello.
