Scanno and surroundings

Scanno is a town in the province of L'Aquila in Abruzzo, Italy. The territory within the Marsicani Mountains and partly within the borders of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park is in turn part of the Peligna Mountain Community. It is an important winter and summer residence and is part of the club Clubs of the most beautiful villages in Italy. In the surrounding area there is the lake of the same name, but belonging to Villalago for three quarters, the ski resorts of Passo Godi and Monte Rotondo, the mountains of Mount Greco and Lake Pantaniello, as well as the natural reserve of the Gorges of Sagittarius.
